Brazil Tour Objectives

Brazil is one of Canada's major competitors in agriculture. In order to gain a better understanding of their agriculture industry, we are inviting CTEAM/CFAME (EDP) Alumni, to join us first hand to study in Brazil.

This trip, at the request of Alumni, will not be time spent in the classroom, but rather visiting farms and agribusinesses.  This will give us the opportunity to speak to local producers and agribusinesses as well as listening to presentations along the way, by invited speakers. We want to learn:

• Key information about Brazil's transportation system - both the current problems and what is being done to solve them,
• The strengths and weaknesses of primary production and the processing industry,
• Whether there are major advantages in regulation, and
• What the incentives are for the sector to improve.
