Merle graduated from the University of Alberta with a B.Sc. degree in Agriculture Economics. Merle, his wife Peggy & daughter Annessa have created GRS Consulting Ltd
Prior to his private sector endeavor, Merle worked for over 30 years as the Alberta Provincial Farm Tax Specialist. Merle focuses on unique business structures and tax strategies to facilitate inter-generational Succession. This expertise combined with his practical experience of owning and operating a multi-generational farm has created a unique combination of skills and insights to enable clients to meet their business and personal goals.

Merle continues to work with top accountants and lawyers throughout Canada and on a yearly basis speaks at over 20 public seminars and works with over two hundred farm clients per year. Merle and his family continue to reside on the family farm near Cremona, Alberta.
Annessa attended Mount Royal University, where she studied Business, specializing in Supply Chain Management, giving her a unique insight into operational functionality. After graduation and working in Calgary for various industries, Annessa knew in her heart that she needed to return to Agriculture. Annessa has since moved home to her family farm near Cremona, AB, and is slowly starting to re-build her cow herd. Annessa has since begun working in her family’s consulting company, GRS Consulting Ltd. (GRS). GRS is a leading-edge, Succession Planning Consulting Company servicing over 250 clients and presenting at approximately 20 seminars per year. It is here, that Annessa has found her niche, providing a voice for the younger generation at the Succession Planning Table. Whether it be writing articles, sitting in on client meetings or co-presenting with her father, Merle Good, Annessa’s focus and passion is to ensure that there are business opportunities and most importantly business clarity, for the younger generation regarding Family Farm Sustainability and Succession Planning.
Heather has always seen the value in education and providing the forum and opportunity for others to learn and grow personally and professionally. As Principal in AME, Heather manages the operations of AME as well as instructs in the CTEAM Program. She most recently managed The Success for Women in Agri-Food project for the Agriculture and Food Council of Alberta, providing business skills development through workshops, networking and mentorship opportunities for women ag-entrepreneurs. Heather and her husband operate a 3rd generation family grain farm in central Alberta. Operating as business manager, she has a strong interest in farm business management and leadership skills, which led her to complete CTEAM as well as the TEPAP program through Texas A & M. She served on the Board of the Agriculture and Food Council of Alberta for eight years, serving as Chair for four years, taking a role in encouraging growth, sustainability, competitiveness and profitability in the agri-food sector.
